3 Hardest Things to master in SAFe. in SAFe: Part 3

One of the most common problems that I have witnessed in SAFe, is the overburdening of staff. This is usually demonstrated in the fact that staff are burned out due to being overworked, overburdened, are working excessive hours and feeling demotivated by their poor performance as a result.

Overworking staff is never a good idea and can lead to:

 🚀 Employee dissatisfaction.

🚀 High employee turnover.

🚀 Poor performance.

🚀 Lack of innovation.

🚀 Team conflict.

🚀 Unhappy management.

When this happens, it can turn an entire team and organisation upside down because if one part of the puzzle is missing, it is only inevitable that the end goal of completion can not be reached. Even more significantly when teams are not happy and not working to their true potential, this has a negative impact on the customers and can actually damage customer retention and the overall reputation of the business.

This is a big problem for most teams and staff; the focus should not be on working longer and harder but rather on delivering the results. It is therefore paramount that we reevaluate this mentality and way of working by:

🚀 Removing the overburdening of staff.

🚀 Providing focus on what should be worked on.

🚀 Foster purpose for what we are working on.

By doing this, we can:

🚀 Improve employee satisfaction.

🚀 Decrease employee turnover.

🚀 Enhance quality and productivity.

🚀 Boost teamwork and improve working relationships.
