What is the ‘implementing SAFe’ course and what does it teach?
The Implementing SAFe course is our ‘train the trainer’ class. It is designed to train the people who are going to be training others in the implementation of SAFe or Scaled Agile Framework.
If we look at the syllabus, the first two (2) days of the Implementing SAFe course are identical to the Leading SAFe course.
The reason for this is because the Leading SAFe course gives you great exposure to the SAFe agile framework, and you also learn what the intention is for the person who is attending the Leading SAFe course as well as how that is different from someone who is implementing SAFe.
The intention of the Implementing SAFe course is to teach you how to teach someone who is attending the Leading SAFe course, and empower you to help that person in their quest to Lead SAFe in their organizational context.
You will learn:
- How to stand in front of a team of executives and explain what SAFe is.
- How to stand in front of leadership teams and explain how SAFe will help them achieve their customer, organizational, and product development objectives.
- How to help leadership and management teams make a decision as to whether SAFe is the appropriate and best agile framework for them to adopt.
In the course, we aim to help you:
- Teach the Leading SAFe course.
- Teach you the Lean Portfolio Management elements of SAFe.
- What is Lean Portfolio Management?
- How do you go about implementing Lean Portfolio Management.
- In what applications is Lean Portfolio Management valuable.
- How to extract the most value from Lean Portfolio Management.
- Teach you what agility means.
- Teach you what organizational agility looks, sounds, and feels like.
So, in essence, you learn how to train trainers and how to become a good, competent SAFe programme consultant.
