Which course is right for you?

Leading SAFe (SAFe Agilist) and SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) are two of the most popular courses offered by Scaled Agile. Both courses are designed to help individuals and organizations implement the SAFe framework, but they differ in their focus and the level of knowledge and experience they are intended for.

The Leading SAFe (SA) course is best if you are trying to understand the Scaled Agile Framework as a whole, while the SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) course is for you if you’re already working with SAFe and want to know more about the role of the Scrum Master in SAFe.

Leading SAFe®

The Leading SAFe (SA) course is intended for individuals who will be responsible for implementing the SAFe framework at an enterprise level. This includes managers, executives, and other leaders who will be responsible for driving the adoption of SAFe across the organization. The course covers the core principles and practices of SAFe, as well as the roles, responsibilities, and skills needed to lead the implementation of SAFe in an organization. It offers a great overview of the SAFe framework.

Questions covered:

  • What is SAFe?
  • What is business agility and how does SAFe support it?
  • How does an organization get started with the Scaled Agile Framework®?

SAFe® Scrum Master

In contrast, the SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) course is intended for individuals who will be responsible for implementing the SAFe framework at the team level. This includes Scrum Masters, Agile Coaches, and other practitioners who will be responsible for leading and facilitating the adoption of SAFe within their teams. The course covers the core principles and practices of SAFe, as well as the roles, responsibilities, and skills needed to successfully implement SAFe at the team level.

Questions covered:

  • How do Scrum Masters facilitate planning and execution of work during a PI?
  • How do you coach and lead Agile teams inside a SAFe enterprise?
  • How do you become a servant leader to build a high-performing team?

Summary
