SAFe is acknowledged to be the most successful scaling framework, across the world, in almost every industry or application you can think of, and it represents almost 36% of market share compared to single digit figures for other agile frameworks such as LeSS (Large Scale Scrum).
In my experience, it has achieved this degree of success because SAFe actively delivers the business and organizational objectives that executives are seeking.
In some cases, that is improved time to market whilst in other cases it may be improved product quality and technical practices. In many cases, it is a combination of strategic, business, and operational objectives that are achieved through the adoption and implementation of SAFe.
Agile, in and of itself, holds no value.
It needs to address a business problem or help an organization capitalise on an opportunity for it to be both valuable and effective.
