Even though for the most part, I have experienced great success with SAFe both in my own organisation and the organisations I have helped along the way, there have been rare occurrences where I have seen ineffective implementation of SAFe and at the root of these issues are the customers. So in an effort to help you and others alike avoid such issues, I present you with three of the most common problems in SAfe.
🚀 1. Poor Delivery Rate. Meeting customer needs and getting products to the market as soon as possible is a challenge that many organisations and teams face.
🚀2. Issues with alignment in problem solving. Issues related to product delivery and so fourth are inevitable for any team or organisation. The key to getting to where you want to go however is determined by the strategies and methods a team uses to resolve these issues. If a team is not aligned on their methods or perceptions of the problem, it is only natural that resolution and problem will fail. And the result? Delayed or poor-quality product development and delivery to the customer.
🚀3. Inability to meet and understand customer needs. A lot of the time when teams and organisations fail to deliver a successful product, it is because they are not able to meet the needs of the customers. And this ultimately comes down to having a solid understanding of who your customers are, what their demands are and what gap they need to fill. Without an understanding of these core points, a team will continually fail to satisfy their customers which will consequently result in them losing a competitive edge in the market, and in the worst case, be forced to shut down.
Customer centricity is therefore a cornerstone element of effective implementation of SAFe and a successful business model as a whole.
