Most Valuable Contribution of a SAFe Consultant

SAFe Practice Consultants (SPCs) work within and across organisations to provide new methods and practices that enable organisations to implement Business Agility.  SPCs therefore play a critical role in effectively implementing SAFe through a variety of internal or external roles, such as business and technology leaders, portfolio/program/project managers, process leads, architects, analysts, and consultants. They are certified change agents who combine their knowledge of SAFe and genuine motivation to enhance the business’s software, systems, product(s) and Agile ways of working.

Therefore in  my experience, I would say the most valuable contribution that a SAFe consultant can bring to an organisation is to have an understanding of the context, aim, and the goals of the organisation.

This may involve:

🚀 Agreeing on what measures will guide the team in reaching their goals.

🚀 Helping the organisation understand the context framework.

🚀 Adapting the framework to the context of the organisation.

Most importantly, a great SAFe Consultant will understand the principles and mindset of SAFe so that they can maximise the value that the framework can bring to the team and organisation as a whole.
