Something that is quite funny is when people ask what is the biggest mistake when adopting Agile. I always answer that the biggest mistake is in adopting Agile itself. Which is usually met with an obscure grin and head tilt because how can adopting the very thing we want to achieve in the organisation be a mistake? 

I say this is a mistake because I have found that when wanting to practise Agile ways of working, it shouldn’t be about adopting Agile. 

It should be about: 

🚀 What is the problem we are trying to solve? 

🚀 What is it that we want to change?

🚀 What are our success measures? 

🚀 How can Agile helps us achieve these goals? 

Implementing Agile for the sake of being Agile is not good enough, we need to have a goal and find ways of allowing Agile to help us achieve these goals more effectively, resulting in higher team satisfaction and value to the organisation.
